Mia, Sean and my evening-out to the pediatrician’s chamber yesterday for Sean’s vaccination and my daughter’s monthly check-up ended in a sweet note. We met Harry’s sister-in-law Jenny with her daughter Dorothy, who is about the same age as my Mia, after two long years, as they had shifted base to New Hampshire for work! After much hugs and cuddling, especially because Jenny was meeting Sean for the first time, we planned to seat a while at the nearest cafeteria for a long chat and some foodies. I made Sean sit in our double stroller, while Mia preferred walking by our side. But as poor Jenny was down with a viral for the last three days, she was in no mood to walk down or play with Mia. Jenny made her comfortable in her bright red stroller that she had kept folded in her car, as we walked down the lane. But to my utter bewilderment I suddenly realized that I had seen this stroller when Jenny was a baby, when they used to frequent our place on weekends! My awestruck expression was so explicit that Jenny quickly admitted that it was their old Britax B-Agile Stroller which they have been using since Jenny’s birth! In fact now that she is about 50 pounds, I can see her still fitting comfortably into the single stroller! Jenny also bought the B-Agile Travel System recently and she says it is a great companion for all parents.
This was a starting point of our conversation about this great stroller that Jenny swore by over a cup of hot cappuccino and some ham sandwiches. Mia of-course settled for her favorite cold coffee with ice-cream, while Jenny preferred to give a cup of hot chocolate milk to her sick child. As Mia and Dorothy got carried away into some toddler-talk, Jenny confirmed that their Britax B-Agile is capable of accommodating children from birth to 55 pounds, in spite of being so lightweight. This really made me too inquisitive to find out about this product in details as I love writing baby stroller reviews to help young parents to choose the perfect one for their little ones.
The features of the Britax B-Agile Stroller that Jenny greatly benefited from are discussed in details for your convenience. This compact baby-stroller has a multitude of features that has provided both comfort and safety to Dorothy all these years and can prove advantageous for you.
Light & Easy Design
As Harry’s brother is as busy as my husband, it is obvious that Jenny has to manage the show all by herself. She has greatly benefitted from the stroller as it is lightweight (16.5 pound only) and thus easy to carry on her own. The stroller is made of aluminium frame which makes it light enough to be easily maneuvered on any type of surface and lifted easily with one hand over steps and bumps. Its quick-fold design with automatic chassis lock allows Jenny to fold and pack the Britax B-Agile Stroller in seconds and pack it off into her car with great convenience.
A Comfortable & Smooth Ride
The Britax B-Agile is a baby-stroller with a variety of cozy features which has optimized comfort for Dorothy when she was a baby and still going strong. It provides a cushioned reclining seat with a padded head-rest and leg-rest for support and comfort while on the move. I have noticed how snugly the sick child was seated in the stroller as she laid her tired head on the cushioned head rest.
Though the canopy was rested back for our evening stroll yesterday, Jenny did demonstrate how large the canopy was with its mesh ventilation window that conveniently protected the child from the sun and the rain, while allowing her to peep in through the window to take notice of little Dorothy’s activities. The mother and daughter always enjoyed a little baby-game of peek-a-boo with each other through the canopy window.
Its three-wheel design, with larger back wheels and a swivel front wheel, provides improved steering and maneuverability over even and uneven surfaces. It also offers integrated suspension that has always promoted a smooth ride for both mother and child all these years.
Another innovative design of the baby stroller that Jenny loves is its bent or curved rear bar that connects the two rear wheels. This innovative design is beneficial for the person who is pushing the stroller as she can avoid kicking the bar constantly while walking.
Jenny recalled how little Dorothy would hate getting off the stroller after a cool evening stroll and always threw tantrums for another small ride before entering their home! As these were effortless rides for Jenny, she did not mind pleasing Dorothy every time! In fact she still pampers her with a stroller-ride whenever she complained of tired legs during their long evening-walks together or during such doctor’s visit!
Safety Features
While sipping on her favorite cappuccino Jenny also recalled how she once carelessly took off her hand from the easy-grip handle to search for her mobile in her purse and suddenly realized that the stroller had set off towards the road! She thanked God that it was not too late and a fatal accident was luckily avoided! Thus she never again forgot to put on the parking brake of the stroller when she had to take off her hands from the handle!
The linked parking brake lock of the Britax B-Agile Stroller safely locks both the rear wheels to keep the stroller from sliding down a sloping lane or diverting away from its place to hit any object in front of it. This safety feature of their stroller is also accompanied by a five-point harness system that helps to support the child in place and keep her safe and secured while on the move.
Adaptable Design
The Britax B-Agile Stroller can accommodate children from the birth to 55 pounds. I find this feature quite an impressive one as Jenny did not require to discard the stroller when Dorothy grew up. The adaptable design of the product is suitable for the growing child.
Jenny pointed out that the stroller also offers the Britax Click-And-Go integrated adapter system which makes it compatible with B-Safe and Britax Chaperone infant car seats and also compatible with other major infant car seat brands when it is used with a Britax infant car seat adapter that is sold separately with the stroller.
Storage for Convenience
As Dorothy always had a habit of carrying her favorite pink teddy and even the colorful bedtime story books during her rides, Jenny appreciates the large under-seat storage space that always accommodated all the toys, nappies, bottles and an extra change of clothes till about a year back. Now that Dorothy is a little grown up, the under-seat storage space and the back seat zippered pocket is used for carrying snacks, water and mostly story books for the child and some personal items of Jenny. I personally find sufficient storage space in a baby-stroller an advantageous feature for both the mother and the child, especially if the ride is a long one.
How Much Should You Expect to Pay?
Though the listed price of the Britax B-Agile Stroller is $249.99, Jenny had spent a reasonable $194.99 for this product at Amazon.com. She suggested buying it from this online site as it offers great discount along a Free Super Saving Shipping Offer.

What Others Are Saying…
After I had a one-to-one discussion about the Britax B-Agile Stroller I tried to do my research on the product yesterday itself. I found that the product has received a whopping 4.5 out of 5 star rating at Amazon.com from a large number of customers. While looking for online comments from reviewers I happened to come across a number of great reviews which complimented the stroller and recommended it to others. The comments that attracted my attention were:
“Better than the City Mini”
“Awesome Stroller”
“Love this stroller”
“Perfection”
“After months of looking for a lightweight stroller”
“Light, easy to use and maneuver”
“Wish I had bought this first”
“The B-Agile makes me B-Happy!”
“A little pricey but worth it!”
Any complaints?
A product which has hardly five 3-stars, no 2-stars and three 1-star ratings out of 114 customer reviews at the time of writing this review, clearly suggests the superior quality and performance of the product over others. It hardly had any complaints except for minor ones like the harness buckle being a little stiff, the seat not reclining to a flat position, lack of a tray and cup-holder and a fixed-height handle bar that is not adjustable. However I found that these are personal choices of individuals that may vary from person to person and in no way plays an important role in affecting the comfort and safety factors of a stroller and its passenger.
