Last week, when I took Sean for a stroll, I came across a very familiar face. I saw Candace, my school friend with her twins, Alexander and Anthony, approaching me! Gosh, last the time we met was at the school reunion party when she was about to get married! We were more than ecstatic to meet after such a long time, and my joy knew no bounds when I learned that her husband, Benjamin has bought a new home next to the housing block where I live. So we are neighbors now! Even the twins seemed to like my Sean in no time and while Candace and I went to the adjoining street cafe, something really beautiful caught my sight. It was the stroller on which the cute kids were seated. After recalling some nostalgic moments, our topic of conversation took a 360 degree turn, and we started discussing about the everyday challenges that we face to bring up our bundles of joy. With two kids to take care of, things do occasionally mess up for her. Though Candace and her husband manage many of the household chores together, there are certain things that she needs to do all by herself. For anything else, she has to do the shopping jobs all by herself and also, being a busy homemaker, she hardly finds some time for herself to exercise. Luckily enough, her husband realized her trouble, and after a brief research, he came up with the InStep Safari Swivel Wheel Double Jogger. Since then, it has been a lifesaver for her, and much to her relief, the kids also love it. The rest of the afternoon went on by discussing about the attributes of this stroller.

Before He Bought It

Candace said that Benjamin is extremely meticulous about the things he buys. As a responsible father, he never compromises with the quality of stuffs that he buys for the kids but even then, he makes it sure that the product he decides on is the “best bang” for the money he spends on it. However, after a good deal of research, he made a list of the most important things that a quality baby stroller should have. Candace shared them with me.

How Safe Is It?

Ah! Candace had so many things to say about its safety features that she almost left me dazed. However, what I particularly loved about the product is that with its bearing capability of up to 100 pounds, the product can securely accommodate two children up to 50 lbs each. In fact, with its dual trigger folding system, as well as its built in slip resistant carrying handle, the product provides optimum safety to Candace’s twins when she transports the stroller. Also, like any quality stroller, the seats have a very secure 5-point harness. I’d seen Candace fastening them very easily. Another impressive thing that I noticed about it is that, the product has a safety wrist strap that ensures the couple that the stroller will not get away from them, even accidentally.

What Benjamin Loved About The Wheels

Each of the three standard sized quick-release wheels with air-filled tires gives a super smooth, no-bump ride even over rough terrains like sandy beaches, grass or gravel. Endowed with quick release technology, the wheels are extremely easy to remove. Though the front wheel impressively swivels to give a greater steering and maneuverability, it can even be locked into position for superior control. Whenever Candace goes for a jogging with the little boys, she simply locks the front wheel, and the stroller starts acting as a jogger. She also locks the wheel into position when she goes upstairs or down steps with it, as doing so, the unit offers extra stability. I must say that Benjamin has chosen quite a versatile product.

What Do Alexander and Anthony Love About It?

Since the seats are kept adjacent to each other, the twins can happily interact with each other. However, as the seats are separate, it really helps to control the babes when they get into the mood for japing each other. Seated on this stroller, they only manage to kick each other’s feet. Furthermore, it often happens that when Alex wants to take a little afternoon nap, Anthony prefers to peep at the little girls who stroll around with their parents (yes, he has started doing it already…according to Candace). Since each of the seats reclines individually, Candace has no problem to make arrangements for them. There is another thing that I noticed about the seats. They are quite spacious, and provide enough space to let the twins to happily stretch their legs and oh! Did I mention that the kids are quite tall for their age?

Shade From Sun

Though Sean loves to bask in the sun, Candace, in a matter of fact way told me that her twins particularly do not like to stroll in the sunny days. I guess that the independent 5-position canopies of the unit do come handy to my friend.

Some More Things That I Noticed

I really loved the sipping cups in the cup holders that the infants had with them, but I also liked the movable child trays where Candace has kept their toys handy. I also saw a standard sized basket where she has kept some breads and veggies. I assume that she was returning from the grocery when I met her.

Some Additional Things That I Would Love To Add

I had to take a goodbye from Candace that day; I had to pick up Mia from school. After returning home, the kids went to rest and I decided to make some extra research on the unit. After all, I am a caring mom and I DO NOT want you have a worthless buy for your kids. After checking with some very reliable websites, I came to the conclusion that most of the parents, like Candace and Benjamin have loved this unit. I also learned about some extra attributes of this unit. You may find them useful.

• The parking brake of the stroller can be operated with your foot.

• The highly maneuverable swivel position of the stroller helps to navigate into the tightest corners and positions.

Any Downsides?

With very minor boo-boos, consumers have seldom lodged very grave complaints against this product. However, some of the users do not particularly like the bar which is unnecessarily (their opinion) kept across the basket. The bar makes it tougher for the parents who wish to keep large items, like grocery stock and diaper bags in it. Also, some of the parents have commented that the front wheel does not fit a conventional pump. It works with a specialty pump, like a mini bike frame pump without the lift locking mechanism, the kind used for mountain biking to make it. In rare cases, I have found that the parents have been entirely dissatisfied with the unit.
